Merry Christmas from the North Pole! I just finished feeding the reindeer and decided to write a few of the children on my good list while I have a nice cup of hot cocoa. The elves and I have been busy getting toys ready to deliver all over the world. He came to earth and led a perfect life and set the example for all of us to follow - even me, Santa! I like to help families celebrate Christmas but even Mrs. Claus and I take time to remember the little babe born in a manger who did so much for me. As you go enjoy the month of December, please remember to do a few good things for others. I hope you will have time to serve someone, be kind and loving, and thankful for all of the blessings that you have.

I need to go have dinner now. Mrs. Claus fixed a great feast with all of my favorite trimmings. She even made that red Jell-O stuff with marshmallows - mmmm. I love marshmallows. Oooooh, it's chilly outside. I decided to come in from the cold and warm myself by the fire and write a few letters to the children on my good list - on my laptop of course. We're getting very high tech up here at the North Pole. Mrs. Claus is sitting in the chair next to me mending my Santa suit while we listens to Christmas music. You have been such a good (boy/girl) this year _____________. My elves have kept careful notes about each child around the world and they tell me that this year you were _____________! One thing that makes me happy is when I get to see good boys and girls improving year after year. It takes a lot of hard work to get better and better at something - well done!

This is the busiest time of year at the North Pole. My elves are working extra hard to make sure things are just right for my flight on Christmas Eve. My polishing team is busy shining up the sleigh and each jingle bell on the reindeer harnesses. The reindeer have been practicing their take offs and landings and are working extra hard at being as quiet as possible so we don't wake anyone in the house. Mrs. Claus keeps me well fed in preparation for such a long flight. Do you know how hard it is to fly to millions of houses worldwide in just 24 hours? That's why I need so many cookies on Christmas Eve. Remember to leave a few cookies out for me, and if you have a carrot or two, my reindeer love them!

The busiest place of all is of course my toy shop. Every elf is busy doing his or her job to make just the right gift for children everywhere. I have sewing elves, elf engineers, elf mechanics, elf hairstylists (for the Barbie dolls) and elves in charge of painting and decorating. My wrapping elves are up to their pointy ears in wrapping paper, ribbon and tape - this shop would be a mess if it weren't for my cleaning elves! We have been thinking about what you might like this year and thought about a _____________ or a _____________. Hope that's something you'll enjoy!

_____________, I wanted to tell you something very important. I know you love Christmas and so do I. Bringing presents to children all over the world is such a happy thing for me to do. It takes a lot of work to be good at something and to keep getting better at it. The elves and I are very proud of you! Nice work.

We just finished our reindeer games last week. You know all of my magical reindeer are good at flying. Well, they're also good at running, and jumping and boy you should see Blitzen run through the obstacle course - he's lighting fast I tell you! Each reindeer likes to participate in the games as part of their training for Christmas Eve. These reindeer keep in shape by eating well and exercising often. They love carrots! So if you leave a carrot for the reindeer on Christmas Eve, they would be very happy.

Our elf town is very busy right now. Elves don't need as much sleep as you do, so they work round the clock getting presents ready for each girl and boy. They have even begun packing my bag. The magic sleigh is in my sleigh shop getting a few upgrades for this year. My mechanic tells me he even added something special so my landings would be quieter than before. I tell you those elves are amazing.

The North Pole is abuzz with Christmas preparations. The post office is processing all of the letters from children around the world (and sending the letters I write) and the elves are bringing them back to Santa's village to take note of what each child wants for Christmas. The Reindeer yard is conducting their last take-off and landing training for new reindeers and good old Rudolf is in charge again this year. Our reindeer are eating very well and exercising every day to prepare for our flight around the world on Christmas Eve. The toy shop is most busy of all. Every elf is working around the clock to make toys, wrap them, and pack the sleigh (we do that very early) and checking my good list twice to make sure we don't forget anyone! In fact, I called down to the toy factory and made sure the elves set aside an extra __________ and a _____________ for you... I'll see what I can do about bringing those.

Mrs. Claus has been sewing my big red suit. She makes improvements every year. She's so good at sewing and Oh... I wish you could taste her cookies! This year she even sewed another pocket into the suit for cookies... just in case I need a few while I'm flying. She's always thinking of me. I love her very much.

I also wanted to tell you about someone else I love very much. ____________, sometimes people forget why we have Christmas. I also like to remember my elves and bring them some hot cocoa! They stir their cocoa with a candy cane and they really love it when I add whipped cream on top! Mrs. Claus prepares the cocoa for my elves and it's delicious!

Since you've never been to the North Pole I thought you might be interested at what we have here and what we do. The entire city is dedicated to making sure that I can get toys and gifts delivered to Children all over the world. There is a countdown clock right in the middle of town that helps every elf, reindeer, and myself keep track of how close we are to Christmas Eve. The elves all live in Elfland which is really a part of the North Pole. Mrs. Claus and I live right next to the toy factory. We like to stay in the middle of the action! The reindeer live in stables and fields behind our home. This time of year they are training for Christmas Eve (but they do take time off for their reindeer game - kind of like the Olympics.) We have a post office, a shopping center with a cookie shop and a hot cocoa store, a tailor, and a sleigh repair shop. We also have a school for the elves. Yes, even elves have to go to school!

Mrs. Claus works most days at taking care of my meals and feeding the elves. She is an amazing cook and loves to make our home warm and cozy with Christmas smells like gingerbread cookies, apple pie and cinnamon rolls. She makes a wonderful cup of hot cocoa and her apple cider can't be beat! I love her because she's so good at taking care of us and she always wears a smile.

I know a lot of people look forward to getting present from me but there is a greater gift than any gift I could bring. That gift was given over 2000 years ago. I need to go check and see if my Santa bag is mended. I left it at North Pole Tailor Inc. because it got caught on a tree branch last year and ripped. Making the list is hard for some kids but you've been very good to ______________ and that's important. Family is so special and family member need to be treated special. Up here in the North Pole we are working very hard to get ready for Christmas. There are not many days left and we want to be right on schedule. Yesterday we took time to redecorate our Christmas tree... Mrs. Claus likes to change the decorations every year. This year we hung red and white candy ornaments with strings of popcorn as garland. Mrs. Claus also hung little marshmallow snowmen. We like to sit around the tree in the evenings and talk about all of the children that I will visit this year. I am the same Santa who brings you presents on Christmas Eve. I live in the North Pole which is a very faraway place that is cold all of the time. The ground is always covered with ice and snow. I have many reindeer that live in the fields and stables behind my home that help me fly my sleigh to your house on Christmas Eve. With their help, and the help my elves, I make all of the toys for good girls and boys and deliver them around the world in just one night!

I have a toy factory right in the middle of my town. That is where my elves make toys and wrap them and get them ready to put in my big red sack for my Christmas deliveries. The elves work very hard but all of us take a little time off to drink hot cocoa, eat candy canes, and watch the reindeer games. We love to see those reindeer fly! Rudolf is our extra special reindeer because his red nose lights right up! We can see him in the sky no matter where he's flying!

I eat food that's good for me. Yep! They don't tell that fact in any of the stories you hear but I do. I love sweets and Mrs. Claus always makes sure to keep extra cookies and hot cocoa in the kitchen but I make sure I eat fruits and vegetables before I have a snack. Before I head off on Christmas Eve Mrs. Claus fixes a huge feast. I eat broccoli, carrots (to help me see better) and sweet potatoes. She fixes all kinds of good food and that food gives me the energy I need to fly around the world. I don't eat dessert because everyone leaves me cookies and milk. The cookies and milk are so yummy and I eat them because I'm hungry after all the exercising I do delivering gifts. So, I hope you are eating your fruits and vegetables too! They work like magic!

We are very busy here at the North Pole. The sleigh is in the shop getting tuned up and shined, the reindeer harnesses and jingle-bells are being polished, and the post office had to hire extra elves just to bring me all the letters from children around the world. I stay busy reading and enjoy hearing about what each child is doing. I was thinking about you in fact! You have been such a good (girl/boy) this year and I want to give you something special. It was the birth of baby Jesus who is the Savior of the world. He was God's son and very important, but he was born in a humble stable and lived a simple life. Jesus set an example for the world of love and service and obedience to God's laws. Mrs. Claus and I love Jesus and know he is our Savior. Because I love him so much, I want to be more like him. That's why I travel around the world and bring gifts to good children. I give gifts and hope good children will remember the gift that God gave us. Will you try something for me?
